ABiSoftButtons

Overview

ABiSoft buttons present a simple API for fully featured buttons. The freely distributable source code is intended to illustrate a variety of simple techniques to create a BeOS application with bells and whistles (or any digitized sound).

The demo application also illustrates one approach to creating an about popup that displays scrolled text and launch a web browser.

None of the code is presented as the best that can be written, but is offered as one example of coding style. Comments, bug fixes, etc., should go to bedev@abisoft.com.

Some features are left as an exercise for the reader. Please review the copyright information.

Requirements

ABiSoft buttons require Datatypes163.so

Complementary Applications

roColour from roDesign allows you to drop colors onto the buttons. The swatches window in Legolas0.97b (must be version b!) will also allow you to drop colors.

FontSelector by Marco Nelissen allows you to change the font of any button by dropping a font message from his program onto the button.
